4 Famous Movie Watches (Post 2000 Movies)

Watches have always played a big role in movies. A watch can tell a lot about someone’s personality and status. Movies love to play with this. The viewers can easily identify someone’s wealth or success when the camera zooms in on a shiny gold watch, while a black dive watch can exhibit the toughness of a gun-blazing action hero.

Today, we are going to look into 5 of the most iconic movie watches of movies made after the year 2000.

Interstellar - Hamilton Khaki pilot date (2014)

In most movies, watches are used to tell us something about the status of a character. If you make a movie about the concept of time, you are of course obligated to kick it up a notch.

In the 2014 blockbuster Interstellar directed by Christopher Nolan, Matthew McConaughey’s character wears a Hamilton Khaki Pilot Date. I won’t spoil the movie, but this watch plays a hugely important role

James Bond No Time To Die - Omega Seamaster 300M (2021)

How can we make a list about watches in movies without including James Bond? Exactly!

In the latest 2021 movie No Time To Die, Mr Bond once fights bad guys and saves pretty ladies while wearing the latest Omega Seamaster  filled with gadgets on his wrist. Now that I say this out loud, it actually sounds like every Bond movie ever made.

The Wolf Of Wall Street – Tag Heuer 1000 (2013)

In the 2013 blockbuster The Wolf Of Wall Street made by legendary director Martin Scorsese, we see the rise and fall of Jordan Belford, a stockbroker and fraudster who made ridiculous amounts of money during his prime in the 1990’s.

During one of the most iconic scenes, the lead character throws his gold Tag Heuer 1000 in a raging crowd of his employees. This to show how much he likes to throw money around, sort of the baseline of the movie.

Doctor Strange- Jaeger LeCoultre Master Ultra (2016)

In the 2016 Marvel Movie ‘Doctor Strange’, we see the introduction of Stephen Strange, played by Benedict Cumberbatch. In the movie, Cumberbatch wears a broken and cracked Jaeger LeCoultre Master Ultra. This shows how he went from a wealthy surgeon to a penniless washed up cripple. This watch will also play a big part in his next movie, ‘Multiverse Of Madness’.
