LVMH was originally formed by the merger of the champagne producer ‘Moët et Chandon’ and cognac producer ‘Hennessy’, which formed the company Moët Hennessy. In 1987 the group merged again, but this time with the fashion manufacturer Louis Vuitton, and became the LVMH-Group.
The ‘Arnault’ family is the main shareholder in the company. LVMH employs more than 134,000 people worldwide and has 3940 stores around the world.
The Group is currently organized in five divisions:

- Fashion & Leather Goods,
- Perfume & Cosmetics,
- Watches & Jewelery,

- Tag Heuer
