Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie Genève (SIHH)
In the early 90’s, Baume & Mercier, Cartier, Piaget, Gérald Genta and Daniel Roth decided to leave Baselworld - the largest watch and jewelery fair in the world. In 1991 they organized an exclusive meeting for watch brands; the ‘Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie’ (SIHH) with Geneva as home base.
The first edition lasted 5 days and included about 4,500 square meters of space. Important watch brands, that belong to the Richemont Group, are represented at SIHH although other - independent watch brands - are also represented at the fair.
Until recently, SIHH was only meant for the official dealers and the press but in 2017 it decided to open its doors for the general public for only one day. This year is no different. The general public will be allowed to visit SIHH on Friday the 19th of January 2018.
The most important watch brands that belong to the Richemont Group are: Vacheron Constantin, A. Lange & Söhne, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Roger Dubuis, Piaget, IWC Schaffhausen, Officine Panerai, Baume & Mercier, Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Montblanc.
